BioI'm a Jewish-leaning agnostic. I tend to see religion and spirituality as separate things, though I realize that many people get both fixes in the same place. Religious ritual is for me a bridge to community and a way of grounding myself in history, not a way to reach a divine being or supernaturally influence the natural world.
Art is important to me on many levels. The creative process is for me both meditative and inexplicable. Art is my approach to spirituality. It's also--funny story--what I'm flogging myself through grad school in. I spend most weekends chained to a table in the printmaking studio. Hooray, art!
...I also enjoy karate, horror movies, and travel. Books are my drug of choice.
I have the coolest *friend ("starfriend," if for some unfathomable reason you're reading my Livejournal profile aloud), ever. I love hir madly. The end.
I'm a genderqueer transguy (yes, both) still weighing my transition options. Testosterone for now, but maybe not forever; no surgery for now, but maybe not forever.
